Tuesday 21st to Saturday 25th October 2008

Richard Harris's Stepping Out is a warm and funny play about a group of women and one man who meet at a weekly tap-dance class. Struggling with their own inhibitions, these wildly different characters come together to learn to tap dance in preparation for a charity dance performance. Not only do they have to come to terms with their clumsy feet but with each other, both with hilarious results. How will the class fare in their first public performance? Can dance teacher Mavis get them tapping in time to pull off the show? Voted Comedy of the Year by the Evening Standard Drama Awards in 1984.
